As part of our social value pledge, we engage the communities in which we work.

We have developed a range of activities to assist with the wider regeneration of community areas and often sponsor or fund local charity events and actively encourage local school children to engage with the scheme. Initiatives include art projects to design site hoardings and having an introduction to bricklaying.

In addition, we’re actively involved in supporting local communities and apprenticeships and invest heavily in ensuring we provide jobs for local people as well as providing opportunities for the local supply chain.

We regularly engage with local schools to educate pupils on some of the dangers of building sites and demonstrate the important safety equipment and restrictions we have in place to support everyone’s safety.

We also take our safety mascot ‘Sammy Safesite’ out in the local community to promote the industry and create an enjoyable experience for all.
